His first job out of college was working at a boutique investment banking firm where he was helping emerging technology companies, and then from there, he joined a venture capital firm and helped raise $120 million dollars to invest in companies in Sub Saharan Africa.
During this time, Watt realized he had a desire to be closer to the action of building companies. Shortly after, he launched his first startup NextMedium which was a brand integration platform for advertisers, media buyers, media sellers, and entertainment companies.
