Mikhail Grigorenko is a Russian professional ice hockey forward who plays for the Kontinental Hockey League’s HC CSKA Moscow.

A Khabarovsk, Russian native, Grigorenko, can serve as a centerman or a winger.

After one season in Quebec, the athlete was selected by the Buffalo Sabres in the12th overall, first round, in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

CSKA Moscow also chose Grigorenko in the first round of the 2011 KHL Junior Draft, eighth overall.

The player previously played in the NHL for Buffalo Sabres and the Colorado Avalanche.

He made an immediate impact in the NHL in some ways, joining the Buffalo Sabres on the opening night of the lockout-shortened 2012-13 season.

At eighteen, he became the fifth-youngest player in Sabres history to score a goal six games into the season.
