Paul Dellegatto Biography

Paul Dellegatto is an American meteorologist and weather forecaster who currently serves as the chief meteorologist at WTVT in Tampa, Florida. He joined the WTVT team back in 1990 as a morning meteorologist until 1997 where he took over as the chief meteorologist in November of 1997.

Prior to joining the station, Dellegatto worked as a meteorologist for WGME-TV in Portland, Maine.

Moreover, he also served as a Chief Meteorologist at WXII in Winston, Salem, North Carolina. Paul is certified by the American Meteorological Society and he is among the five meteorologists that are certified broadcast meteorologists of the WTVT weather department.

On April 30, 2020, Dellegatto became the topic of a viral video when his golden retriever named Brody crashed in the middle of a weather report filmed at Dellegatto’s residence.
